Water Resource Management in Designed Landscapes of the American West

This is the first article of four titled Water Resource Management in Designed Landscapes of the American West. Our most critical natural resource will be discussed through the lens of contemporary landscape architectural practice in terms of the following four areas to coincide with upcoming issues of Exposures Magazine: Planning, Technology, Design, and Sustainability. These four areas are to be understood as nested, interdependent parts that are necessary to confront the issue of water scarcity.
